Today I chopped (in chronological order, and of course, with other people)
about 6 bags of celery
mange tout (many many of these little fellows)
pork (sainsburys' special - save 5 pounds when you buy 2 - except there were about 20 packs)
chicken fillets (also special, but this time you save 6 pounds!)
ginger - enough to make my hands smell

But choppings aside, it has been a good first week. I think.
Its kind of odd, being back to work, or well, trying to work i.e. write an essay on personality and psychological disorders. Lack of doing any such work for the last 6 weeks has definitely turned my brains into mush, and trying to read at the library today was a bit of a pain, to say the least. First of all, I was being a moppet and not finding the book that I went to get. Walked around once. Walked around twice. Look into the catalogue to make sure that it didn't get checked out overnight. Finally, I give up and ask for help. Lo and behold, there is a row of bookstacks that I had not known existed. Gah. The next problem was reading. I ended up copying most of the first few chapters of the book, and then I felt hungry. So naturally, I go for lunch. Unfortunately, this also means that I go back to college, which is not a bad thing, except for the fact that it is a death knell for work. Suspicions prove true, as I spend the rest of the afternoon seeing Jen's ball dress, cutting kor's hair and chopping.

Random thought:
When you have good news, you will want to share it. And the more people who know, the better. Well, it figures that the more the people care about you, the more they will rejoice in your good news and so, the more you will want to share with them. I am somewhat ashamed of how ready I am to share the "little" pieces of good news in my life compared to the one big good news.

It still does not feel like I am a year older. Yet, I can look back over the year and see the many ways in which God has been patiently gracious to me. There have been people entering and (temporarily) exiting my life, and for all that, I am grateful. This time this year, I was still in some form of denial that I was coming to the UK - not that I did not want to go, but more because it hadn't really sank in. Even over the summer, I didn't think very much about it. I guess it was only when I was packing did it seem more final, more real. The first week I was here was fraught with administrative difficulties, but I liked the place, the people - the vibe, so to speak. And now, at the start of my last term here, I cannot imagine not having come here. I was provided with a brilliant family of God, good friendships and more..

Now, to some extent, I almost cannot believe I am going back to Wellesley in September. A part of me doesn't want to - I have more reason to want to stay nowadays, but I do miss my sisters in Wellesley, and the odd little bubble that the place is. Classes have been registered for, accommodation has been sorted out.. yes, I will be going back. I am sure He will lead me to where He wants me to be.

The Twin and I.

Once upon a time, two princesses were born in two different countries, some hours apart. Both were the firstborn in their families, and quite possibly, were of similar temperament. By some divine planning, their paths crossed when they were 17, and together with some others, they proceeded to wreak their own brand of havoc upon their school. Two years passed quickly, and they went off to different locales to sharpen their minds and plot to take over the world. This twin thinks highly of the other and would like to state for the record that she rocks :)
The end (kind of. well, until the next adventure anyway)
