Things swirl past, lessons move along and yet another month is coming to an end. Its funny. I try to keep in touch with my friends, but somehow I manage to still be behind in the news. I'm serious- I actually have reminder notes on my virtual calender so that I email someone different every two weeks. Oh well. Some of you girls have stories to tell me yes yes? Don't forget about me because I'm not able to call you ok?
Had a good week in a sense, because some of my lessons were cancelled. Dear ol math teacher. Had a good week because we went to watch Cats in the very glitzy Wang theatre. Had a bad week because chem lab calculations are giving me grief. Had a good week because I enjoyed work. Had a bad week because of bouts of sleep deprivatio. Had a good week because of Yuki Matsuri- Winter Festival tonight. Had a bad week because I forget so much. Had a good week because I understood some of my French. Had a bad week because I didn't get e rest of it.
Had a good week all the same, because God is with me and cares for me. Because the tv is finally off and I can go to bed in peace. Praise God.

I'm really no good at this whole blogging thing. I'm so erratic and well... not here. Haha. But I did promise that I would write something about flowers. Why flowers? Because they're the first (well, as in plural) that Jer has given me, and the nice thing about it is that they are the prettiest things ever. Not too many roses (good good, less is more), nice color scheme, vase provided and even foxgloves (I love wildflowers)! Because I am not willing to download one more program into my poor computer... no photos. But thanks dearie. I really like them. I maintain though, that flowers are extravagant. Man I sound like a nag.
Speaking of photos, I have some really nice ones of Wellesley because it snowed, and I woke up early to go take pictures. 'Me' time is good. Its calming, and somewhat theraputic, though I actually find going to work theraputic too.. but oh well.
Went skating at Boston Common on Frog Pond- no falls! So proud of myself. Actually, I owe it to the many patient people who accompanied me and steadied me.
Chem quiz tomorrow.
Organizing mini event for tomorrow.
Working on Wed.
May go see Cats the musical on Thurs.
Started one-on-one John bible study today.
Played frisbee today.
Going to work out tomorrow.
Going to sleep early tonight.
Going..

The trees have snow buds, and there is snow cake for all to eat! Yes, I know that is not poetic in any way, but that is what it looked like. Surreal. Tranquil. Breathtaking.
I love the way the snow rested on the tree branches, on the very tips of the leaves, turning each barren tree into a bearer of feather-light sparkles. I love the way the sky peeps out through the aerial woodwork. I am thankful that I woke up extra early to appreciate all this before the day starts to take its toll on me and the snow. *happy sigh*
Valentine's day is coming soon. I feel bad, because unlike last year, when I had girlfriends to give things to and when I was busy trying to figure out the 'perfect gift'... I have not been doing much at all here. It seems like its not the same somehow, partially because I'm at a women's college perhaps.

It is a time for new things. The school year is new, the classes are new, (some) of the people are new - and my commitment to my God shall be new as well. He's been showing me that I have been slack, and mercifully, also giving me ways in which to get back on the straight narrow road. Its good to know that the one that I've chosen to follow is forgiving and trustworthy, especially since I'm in a period of decision and... application? Well, suffice to say that there are many things that occupy the "to do/think/consider" list of my mind.
I thank Him for my family here, family at home, people whom I can count on to pray for me, to tell me that I'm being self-centred... nope its not a bed of roses (or snowflakes if you will)... but His constancy cannot be denied.
I'm actually thinking of taking an English class this sem (me?)... which I would consider more than adventurous, because the last time I touched literature was when I was 14 and reading some random "Prose and Poetry" - I remember something about tennis somewhere. Vaguely. And I know that I wrote a poem about flowers and houses with Wei I think.
Speaking of tennis, another resolution I now have is to go work out. Its odd, for I'm not the kind who makes New Years' resolutions- why say something that I know I won't remember in a few weeks time? *shrug* But here I am, saying that I'll wake up at least twice a week to be at the sports centre at 7.
Time passes pretty quickly when one does not think about it. Happy 13th :)
