It is cold. As am I. I am hungry too, actually. Waiting for my dinner... I was supposed to cook, but Jun and Shin Bin wanted to cook to 'repay' us I guess. Went to work today even though its Sat 'cos I was scheduled to do tours if people came in. Thank the Lord that noone came in at 9am in the chilly morn.
Watched Pride and Prejudice today to pass time. It is absolutely brilliant. I love Mr. Darcy. The way he stands there staring at Liz with no expression at all just makes me laugh. And as Ayako once put it, "The clothes make the guys look hot". Now there's a thought.

Why is everyone sick? Actually, I think I know. 'Cos its as cold as Greenland (-14C) (I don't know how cold Greenland actually is but I know its really cold), and people just don't realise that when they're sick they should cough/sneeze/hack/wheeze AWAY from other (not yet sick) people. One part of me thinks that its kind of mean to think in this way, but the logical part of me wins in this case. I have a feeling that I'm falling sick even though I've taken every single precaution with the exception of isolating myself (which of course is physically and logically impossible), and the meanie in me is resenting the already sick population for passing it to me. I do feel sorry for them and I hope they get well soon.. its really worrying to see my friends cough/sneeze/hack/wheeze, especially when its set to go down to 4F soon (don't quite know what that is in C- oh wait. -17C). Missed the bus today.. and had to wait a good two hours- maybe thats why I'm kind of grouchy. But God is good, and even though we were at the wrong stop for the bus, we spotted a friend of ours who lived nearby and she took us in to warm up. Gosh. I feel that it was really providence that allowed Christina to pass by, and her and Helen to choose to live in a (dilapidated) MIT frat that was one building away from the place we were waiting at, and for them being so nice as to make us hot cocoa and offer us food. Thank you thank you thank you Lord. Think we'd have been in pretty bad shape otherwise.
Gotta work on my design journal now. Die pathogens, die!!!

Yesterday for the first time in a long long time... I got a workout. Terrible isn't it? I do have valid reasons though; its always too cold to walk there, I work in the mornings and have class in the afternoon, its dark, its my turn to cook... You get the idea. Had fried ice cream at Ee's place yest after we played frisbee. One thing has not changed- I cannot throw a frisbee straight. It was great fun though. Some came late as well (what else is new?), so I managed to squeeze in some running before that.
Cooked beef curry yesterday and xiao bai cai. I'm so sad that the rest of our veggies seem to have contracted some rot disease... must be the humidity in the other fridge. Had to throw half of them out. While I was doing so I realised that I probably looked a little like my own granma who used to do that for our family. Cooking is fun (I get to show off the fact that I can cook decently without recipes) but if I had to do it all semester, I'd flop on my back and faint. Or the other way around. Its kind of tough 'cos I don't want the girls to be waiting for their food, but class ends at 5pm and sometimes we stay back a little to work on the challenges.
Speaking of robotics class, I think I'm starting to feel a bit better in class. We're moving on to making the final project, and initially I was worried about who I'd work with. My old groupmates were really nice, but they're so much faster than I that everything tended to be finished before I knew what was going on. We're thinking of building a game, where kids can use water guns to shoot at targets.. and maybe have mini cars that race based on how well you shoot. Still have to think of what we're capable of doing though.

Its been a while huh?
Lots and lots have happened- but life has returned pretty much back to normal except that now I have an even heavier schedule than the usual school days. Got work in the mornings and Robotics class in the afternoons. Why do I do such things to myself? *cos I want the money and don't want to grow too slack*
Needless to say, most of it goes over my head. If I were to HandyLogo what a day for myself is, it'd be like this:
to daily-routine
loop [
all-motors on
checktime
eat go-work onfor 3.5
go-home
checktime
go-class onfor 2
go-home
or (mon) (wed) [make-dinner]
not (mon) (wed) [eat]
if ((random 10) > 4) [do-work]
if ((randon 10) < 4) [rest]
sleep
]
end
to checktime
if (early) [go slow]
if (late) [rush]
end
to all-motors
hands
feet
end
